Videos posted on the “Kairofiloi Kyprou” (“Cyprus Weather Enthusiasts”) page show rain affecting the mountain areas. According to the Department of Meteorology, isolated rain and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out until the afternoon, mainly inland and in the mountains, with the possibility of hail during any thunderstorms. Winds will be light to moderate, three to four on the Beaufort scale, reaching five in the south. The rain is expected to ease by late afternoon.
