The day will begin mainly fine, but clouds developing around midday and during the afternoon are expected to bring rain and isolated thunderstorms, particularly over the mountains and inland. Winds will initially be light and variable at up to force 3, gradually becoming mainly south-westerly to north-westerly at force 3 to 4. They may strengthen to force 5 along exposed coasts and during thunderstorms. The sea will gradually become slight. Temperatures will reach around 34°C inland, 30°C on the western and south-western coasts, 32°C along the remaining coasts and 25°C in the higher mountains. Wednesday will be mainly fine, although clouds developing around midday and during the afternoon may bring isolated rain or a thunderstorm over the mountains and inland. Mainly fine conditions are expected on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged on Wednesday before rising noticeably through Friday to above the seasonal average.
