**Runners Raise €2,500 for Karaiskakio Foundation at Eurolife Run The Park 2026**
Nicosia, Cyprus – The annual Eurolife Run The Park 2026 took place at Athalassa Park, drawing participants of all ages and fitness levels to support a noble cause. This year, the event successfully raised €2,500 for the Karaiskakio Foundation, an organization dedicated to combating blood cancers and supporting patients in need.
The event featured a variety of races, including a 10km and a 5km run, catering to seasoned runners and casual participants alike. Additionally, an 800-metre race was organized specifically for children under the age of 12, encouraging young athletes to engage in physical activity. A 5km corporate race was also held, allowing teams from various companies to compete while contributing to the fundraising efforts.
The proceeds from both the corporate and children's races amounted to €2,500, which was officially presented to Dr. Dimitris Andreopoulos, chairman of the Karaiskakio Foundation. This contribution will assist the foundation in its ongoing work to provide support and resources for those affected by blood cancers.
Athina Siipilli, general manager of Eurolife, expressed her satisfaction with the event, noting its growth over the years. “Each year, we see more participants joining us, which reflects our commitment to bringing together people of different ages and abilities while supporting a charitable cause,” she stated.
Louis Pochanis, executive chairman of Eurolife, highlighted the significance of the event in promoting community involvement through sports. He remarked, “This event demonstrates how sport can combine physical activity with community engagement and support for health and prevention initiatives.”
The Eurolife Run The Park is organized annually by the Dromea Racing running club, with the support of Eurolife. The collaboration between the running club and the insurance company aims to foster a spirit of community and wellness, encouraging individuals to lead healthier lifestyles while contributing to important social causes.
As participants crossed the finish line, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and camaraderie, showcasing the event's ability to unite the community for a common goal. The success of this year’s run not only reflects the dedication of the runners but also the generosity of the sponsors and participants who believe in the mission of the Karaiskakio Foundation.
The funds raised during the event will play a crucial role in supporting the foundation's programs, which include patient support services, educational initiatives, and research funding aimed at improving treatment options for blood cancer patients.
The Eurolife Run The Park continues to be a significant event in the Nicosia calendar, promoting health, fitness, and community spirit while raising awareness and funds for critical health issues. As the event wraps up for this year, anticipation builds for the next edition, with hopes of surpassing this year's achievements and further supporting the invaluable work of the Karaiskakio Foundation.
