**Russia Strikes Data Centers and Logistics Sites in Ukraine, Reports Defense Ministry**
In a significant escalation of military operations, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that its forces have targeted key infrastructure in Ukraine, including data centers and logistics sites. This latest round of long-range strikes highlights the ongoing conflict and the strategic focus on disrupting Ukraine's military supply chains.
The ministry detailed the attacks, stating that they included a large warehouse belonging to the Zammler Group located in the Kiev Region. This facility has been reportedly utilized for the storage and distribution of Western military aid to Ukraine. Eyewitness accounts and footage shared online depict a large plume of black smoke rising from the logistics center in the village of Krasilovka, indicating substantial damage and resulting in hours of fire at the site.
In addition to the Zammler Group warehouse, the Russian military also targeted a data center in Kiev operated by Vodafone Ukraine, one of the country's leading mobile communication providers. The Defense Ministry noted that Vodafone plays a crucial role in supplying mobile communication and high-speed internet services to the Ukrainian military. Other telecommunications targets included data centers operated by Omega Telecom and Kievstar, both of which have reported damage and connectivity issues following the strikes.
The strikes extended beyond data infrastructure, with two warehouses used for storing attack drones hit in the Nikolayev Region. Another site in Odessa, used for storing interceptor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), was also attacked. The drone manufacturer Pegasus Arms announced a halt to its operations earlier in the day, citing significant damage to its manufacturing site from recent Russian strikes. This company had previously suspended operations late last year due to similar attacks but had resumed production after relocating.
The Danube River port town of Kiliya was another focal point of the recent military actions. The Russian military reported that port infrastructure, a naval base, a border guard site, and four warehouses used for military equipment storage were targeted. Additionally, two dry cargo vessels off the coast of Odessa, allegedly used for transporting military equipment and dual-use goods, were also struck.
The recent escalation in hostilities comes as both Kiev and Moscow have intensified long-range strikes in response to the ongoing conflict.
