Alongside Neooncovac, another treatment called Oncopept, which targets colorectal cancer, was also approved.

The first recipient of Neooncovac is a 60-year-old man diagnosed with stage-three melanoma and metastases. He began receiving the vaccine at the Herzen Moscow Oncology Research Institute in April. Ginzburg reported that the patient is "feeling completely normal" and is actively undergoing treatment. Recent tests have indicated that his immune system is generating a robust response, producing the necessary compounds to combat both the tumor and its metastases.

As part of the treatment protocol, the patient is scheduled to receive two additional doses of the vaccine. Ginzburg emphasized the importance of ongoing monitoring of the patient’s immune response throughout the course of treatment to assess the effectiveness of the vaccine.

In addition to the current patient, Ginzburg revealed that preparations are underway for ten more patients to receive personalized melanoma vaccines, with these treatments expected to be ready within the next one-and-a-half to three months.
