**Russian Strikes Kill Six in Ukraine as Moscow Intercepts Hundreds of Drones**

Russian military strikes on eastern Ukraine have resulted in the deaths of at least six individuals, according to local authorities. The attacks occurred overnight, primarily affecting the town of Balakliya in the Kharkiv region, where three victims, identified as two women and a man, were killed when their homes were struck. In addition to the fatalities in Kharkiv, three more people lost their lives in the northern region of Sumy, where Russian forces conducted attacks that left at least 19 others injured. Ukrainian police reported that twelve of the wounded were in the city of Sumy, where guided aerial bombs were deployed. Another two individuals were injured in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as confirmed by Oleksandr Ganzha, the head of the regional military administration.
The violence extended to the southern region of Kherson, where a drone attack on a van resulted in injuries to six people, according to the regional administration. Furthermore, a Russian strike in the Black Sea area damaged a foreign-flagged vessel, the Mera Queen, which was carrying wheat. This attack led to the death of a crew member and ignited a fire on the ship, as reported by Oleh Kiper, the Odesa regional governor.

Local reports indicated that a logistics center belonging to the Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries sustained minor damage during the drone interceptions. Kyiv has accused the online retailer of playing a significant role in supporting Russia's military efforts by providing dual-use items that can be utilized for military purposes.
Amid these developments, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed that Ukrainian forces successfully struck two oil refineries located deep within Russian territory. The targeted facilities were identified as the Bashneft-Novoil refinery in Bashkortostan and the Slavnet-Yanos refinery in the Yaroslavl region.
