Russia's defense industryRussia’s Supercam S180 recon UAV successfully operates under attacks — company The latest Russian high-speed reconnaissance UAV is equipped with various systems that allow it to successfully conduct photographic reconnaissance and transmit intelligence data during flight even under jamming and attacks by interceptor drones, Yekaterina Zgirovskaya statedBAKU, October 1. /TASS/. Russia’s new high-speed reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Supercam S180 is capable of conducting photographic reconnaissance in the conditions of jamming and attacks by FPV drones, Unmanned Systems Group Spokeswoman Yekaterina Zgirovskaya told reporters at the ADEX 2026 exhibition. "The latest Russian high-speed reconnaissance UAV, the Supercam S180, is equipped with various systems that allow it to successfully conduct photographic reconnaissance and transmit intelligence data during flight even under jamming and attacks by interceptor drones," Zgirovskaya stated. According to her, its high cruising speed and "afterburner" (brief acceleration) mode help it overcome such countermeasures. "The UAV’s autonomous flight, with positioning accuracy of up to 50 meters, is ensured by three complementary systems that operate without relying on GNSS signals: an inertial navigation system, an optical navigation system, and a local positioning system," she added. Zgirovskaya specified that the approach of enemy interceptor drones is detected by the optical and radio detection system. "It alerts the operator to the danger, an evasive maneuver is performed automatically, and once the threat has disappeared, the Supercam S180 continues to carry out its mission," she said. The ADEX 2026 International Defense Exhibition is being held in Baku from September 30 to October 2.
