"No formal events, including the next round of 'indicative' votes in the UN Security Council, are scheduled for the week of September 21; however, the topic of appointing a new Secretary-General will obviously be a key one in the corridors of the global organization's headquarters during the High-Level Week," Logvinov said. "Who knows - perhaps that is where other contenders might surface." According to Logvinov, "the three rounds of 'indicative' votes held so far in the UN Security Council do not make it clear which of the eight candidates is the most acceptable choice for the post of the new Secretary-General."
