**Six Arrested in Overnight Police Operations Across Cyprus**
In a series of coordinated police operations conducted on Wednesday night, six individuals were apprehended for a range of offences, including drug-related charges, illegal residency, and failure to appear in court. The operations were part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing public safety and enforcing the law across urban areas of Cyprus.
During the operations, police officers conducted thorough checks on 551 vehicles, inspecting a total of 736 drivers and passengers. In addition to vehicle inspections, law enforcement officials carried out 46 checks on various establishments, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining order in the community.
The police reported a significant number of traffic violations during these operations, totaling 268 infractions. Among these, 92 were specifically for speeding, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding road safety.
