So far, 183 affected homes have been recorded across 20 communities and three municipalities, mainly in the Nicosia district, along with damage to public infrastructure, according to the announcement. To speed up the recording and assessment of damage, the ministry has asked affected residents to submit their name, address and contact telephone number to their local district administration, along with photographs, by Monday, September 7, 2026, at the latest. The criteria and amount of any ex gratia financial assistance to affected residents will be determined by a Council of Ministers decision.
