Some storms will be intense, accompanied by hail and gusty winds, according to the Department of Meteorology. An orange warning has been issued. The warning covers strong storms that will affect parts of the island. Rainfall is expected to range from 55mm to 70mm, with hail not ruled out. “The warning is being upgraded to orange level, as rainfall is expected to exceed 55mm,” the warning said Winds will blow mainly northeast to southeast, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, locally strong at 5 Beaufort. During storms, winds may become variable and strengthen. The sea will be slight, becoming locally rough in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach around 30 degrees inland and on the coasts, and around 21 degrees in the higher mountains. Saturday night will be mostly clear, though isolated rain may initially occur in the north and along the eastern coasts. Winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be rough on windward coasts, gradually easing to slight elsewhere. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the weather will be mostly clear, though cloud developing around midday and in the afternoon may bring isolated rain, mainly in the mountains. Temperatures will rise on Sunday, though remaining below the seasonal average, at least in the mountains and inland. By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to return to around the seasonal average generally.
