**Teen Arrested Over Counterfeit Banknotes in Famagusta**
An 18-year-old male has been taken into custody in the Famagusta district for allegedly possessing and circulating counterfeit banknotes, according to a statement from the police on Tuesday.
The arrest followed a tip-off received by law enforcement regarding two €50 notes that were found to share the same serial number. Officers responded to the information and were able to retrieve these counterfeit notes from an employee at a local business in the area.
