No matter the amount of performances a person will see, the amount of shows someone will watch, they will always be chasing a new role. And that something else is will perhaps always be more impressive than the best thing we’ve seen. The same goes for the less talented. They either play in uninspired comedies or insubstantial tragedies. What distinguishes actors also distinguishes circus performers. The acrobats, the clowns… Only, when political figures decide to mimic actors and clowns by giving performances, the conclusion is either infuriating or laughable. Unfortunately, we live in a time where we have been forced to experience the most extreme politician of this kind. The only difference his performance and actors and clowns, is that his always has a cost. Often that cost being thousands of human lives. As well as numerous others, that violate every concept of democracy, human rights and the law itself. First, we watch surprised when he invades another country and captures their president. Just like, of course, his his ancestors did with gunfights in the far west. Then, claiming a foreign country, Gibraltar, as if it was just a vineyard bordering a farm, with him disputing the boundaries established by the land registry. Then, he is threatened by a third country, Cuba, because apparently it will enter and sweep through the land, to supposedly redeem its people. He wakes up one morning and decides to start handing out orders to different countries. As though they were branches he has control over. He mocks young country leaders, almost like how older, stronger students would mistreat the younger, weaker ones in secondary school. Trying to bully them into changing their preferences. If his “victim” is called Macron and leads a powerful country like France, or called Starmer and leads Britain, it doesn’t seem to matter. His most recent victim is Meloni. In his eyes, France, Britain, and Italy are the same as Minnesota, Colerado, and Ohio. He believes they are required to follow his desires. However, the worst part is that he believes that in addition to smaller countries like Gibraltar, or countries powerless next to the US, like Venezuela, he also believes he can subjugate larger, more powerful ones like Iran. In cases like this, in the game of the world’s sheriff, as he believes, the end always results in thousands of victims. With thousands of innocent women and children among them. His plan didn’t pan out the way he expected this time though. His performance has shifted from the aggressive thriller, which he had planned, into a talentless comedy instead. With pompous declarations of proud victory, threats, exaggerations, slogans, and big promises. Then, suddenly, when he found himself at a crossroad, he started fervently pleading to his allies to help him. Perhaps he could emerge victorious in the Straits of Hormuz. They turned their backs on him. Then he found himself at a table discussing some agreement. But on the mullah’s terms… Of course, you’ll ask, does any of this affect him? Oh no. He has already proven that he doesn’t have a shred of dignity. He begged internationally for a Nobel Peace Prize. When they announced the winners, they even agreed to give him the prize that Maria Corina Matsado had been awarded! To stop the child from having a meltdown… Yesterday, though, it was confirmed that his repertoire of atrocities is indeed inexhaustible. And that he will come up with something new to surprise us with every time. In a negative way, of course. He even went as far as to intervene in the World Cup. To convince FIFA to erase a red card that was given to one of the best US footballers so that he could play in match held in early hours against Belgium. You may have erased Balogan’s red card. But yours is valid forever. What a sad fate. The thought of such wretchedness, for any sane person with elementary logic, dignity and belief in values, is unthinkable. Not, however, for the person who turned politics into a laughable international reality show. The person who considers the whole planet to be his own private business and decides everything to do with it. Donald Trump, I don’t know how the world can still stand you! Deep down, I feel sorry for you.
