One of the most recognisable works of Greek musical theatre, “Zorba the Greek,” returns to Cyprus in a major production by the Sofia National Opera and National Ballet, starring Igor Tsvirko, principal dancer of the legendary Bolshoi Ballet. For five days, music, nature and community come together at Gialia in Paphos, as the One Love Cyprus Festival returns for a third consecutive year. This year’s edition combines concerts, visual art, workshops, wellness activities and organised camping in a multi-day outdoor community gathering. Internationally recognised performer and songwriter Vakia Stavrou performs at the concert “Songs by the Sea,” co-organised by the Department of Antiquities and the High Commission of India. A tribute to the great lyricist Costas Virvos, marking 100 years since his birth, the musical performance “T’Achnaria” takes place in Apliki, Lemythou and Sykopetra as part of the 2026 Cultural Decentralisation Programme. In post-Troubles West Belfast, Northern Ireland, fate brings together an unconventional teacher and two young self-styled “layabouts.” Together, they form the Irish hip-hop group Kneecap.
