**Third Unit of India’s Largest Nuclear Plant Approaches Startup, Says Rosatom CEO**
The third unit of India’s largest nuclear power plant, located in Kudankulam, Tamil Nadu, is nearing completion and is expected to begin physical startup next spring, according to Aleksey Likhachev, CEO of Russia's state nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom. Likhachev stated that 99% of the equipment for the third unit has been supplied by Russia, highlighting the extensive involvement of Russian technology and resources in the project. Additionally, he indicated that work on the fifth and sixth units is projected to begin in 2028-2029.
