**Three Remanded Over Larnaca Robbery and Kidnapping Case**
Larnaca, Cyprus – Three men have been remanded in custody for six days following their arrest in connection with a robbery and kidnapping incident involving a 65-year-old man. The suspects appeared before the Larnaca District Court on Wednesday, where the remand was ordered as police continue their investigation into the case.
The incident reportedly took place on Monday when the victim reported that he was attacked by three individuals. According to police statements, the victim recognized two of the assailants. One of the men physically assaulted him, resulting in injuries, while the other accomplices assisted in the robbery.
During the attack, the perpetrators allegedly stole €300 in cash, the victim’s mobile phone, and the keys to his car. Following the robbery, the suspects forced the victim into his own vehicle and drove him to his residence. Once there, they entered the house and took various items before fleeing the scene in the victim's car, heading in an unknown direction.
The police launched an investigation immediately after the report was filed. Their efforts led to the arrest of all three suspects in Nicosia. The authorities are now working to gather further evidence and details regarding the incident.
As the investigation unfolds, the police have categorized the case under several serious charges, including robbery, kidnapping, theft, assault, and causing actual bodily harm. The court's decision to remand the suspects is a standard procedure in such cases, allowing law enforcement to continue their inquiries without the suspects being released.
The Larnaca community has expressed concern over the violent nature of the crime, prompting discussions about safety and security measures in the area. Local authorities are expected to increase patrols and community outreach to reassure residents following this alarming incident.
The suspects will remain in custody as the investigation continues, and further court appearances are anticipated as the legal process moves forward.
