**Today’s Weather: Clear with a Chance of Afternoon Showers**
Cyprus is set to experience mainly clear weather on Thursday, although some areas will see increased cloud cover that may lead to isolated showers or thunderstorms, particularly inland and in the higher mountain regions.
According to the latest meteorological forecasts, temperatures are expected to rise to around 33 degrees Celsius in inland areas, while coastal regions will see milder temperatures of approximately 28 degrees. In the higher mountains, temperatures will be cooler, reaching about 25 degrees Celsius.
Winds will be light to moderate, predominantly blowing from the southwest to the northwest, with speeds reaching up to 4 Beaufort. However, in the afternoon, wind speeds may temporarily increase to strong gusts of up to 5 Beaufort on the windward side, contributing to slightly rough sea conditions.
As the day transitions into night, the weather is forecasted to remain mainly clear. However, there will be periods of increased low cloud cover, and light fog or mist may form in certain areas. Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to around 20 degrees Celsius both inland and along the coast, while higher mountain areas will cool down to about 16 degrees Celsius. Winds during the evening will continue from the southwest to northwest at around 3 Beaufort, with the sea conditions calming to slightly rough.
Looking ahead to the weekend, weather patterns indicate that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will likely see increased cloudiness, with a possibility of isolated showers or thunderstorms developing in the afternoons, particularly in inland and mountainous regions. There is also a risk of hail during any storm activity.
Temperatures are not anticipated to change significantly over the next three days, maintaining a steady climate across the island.
Residents and visitors are advised to remain aware of potential weather changes, especially in areas prone to thunderstorms, and to take necessary precautions if planning outdoor activities.
