A tornado tore through Pomas in France's Aude department, damaging homes and ripping roofs apart. Trees and vegetation were also uprooted, while emergency teams moved through the village. The tornado struck as much of south-western France was under an orange weather alert for severe thunderstorms. Authorities reported 31 people injured in Pomas, while storms caused power cuts and transport disruption in several areas. Emergency services were deployed to assess the damage and help residents secure their homes. Strong winds and heavy rain were reported across the region.
