The large traditional vrakas was placed in its usual spot near the Public Garden’s main entrance, as it is every year, heralding the city’s major festival. Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis said preparations are now in their final stage. “Today you watched the setting up of our vrakas, accompanied by the Arion Choir. We are in the final stage of completing all preparations, and, as you can see, all the kiosks are also being set up,” he said. Armeftis invited the public to attend the Wine Festival, which will run from September 26 to October 4. “I want to invite everyone on September 26, when the Wine Festival starts, which will run until October 4. I believe the 65th Wine Festival will be even better than last year’s. I invite everyone, from every corner of Cyprus, to come and enjoy special carefree moments.
