He had made similar statements during a speech at Mount Rushmore, where he emphasized that “America will never be a communist country.” His remarks come during a period of intense political friction ahead of the November midterm elections, where Republicans are seeking to maintain control of Congress. Election message and the SAVE America Act The US president also referenced the “SAVE America Act,” a legislative proposal aiming to reform the administration of federal elections. “America is back and we want to keep America great,” he stated, linking his message to the necessity of passing the bill.
