Trump claims to be in procces of mulling whether to end conflict with Iran 'the nice way' The US president added he believes the problem is that "nobody knows who the hell is running the country"WASHINGTON, October 7. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said he was considering whether to end the conflict with Iran "the nice way." "We have to finish up [the conflict with Iran], and it’s only a question of which way: do we want to do it the nice way or the not so nice way? And pretty soon you’ll find out," the US leader said while speaking in Baltimore, Maryland. "The biggest problem I have is nobody knows who the hell is running the country. Nobody knows, but maybe that’s a good thing. But you remember [former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Ali] Khamenei. They’re all gone," the president added. According to him, Iran’s "missile drone manufacturing capacity is way down." "It’ll soon be gone. We know exactly where the rest of it is," Trump said. He added that he gets "calls all the time from the leaders of the world" thanking him. According to Trump, he responds "‘Good. When are you going to pay for it?" The United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding envisaging an immediate ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon. However, the United States resumed large-scale attacks on Iran overnight to July 8, having accused it of breaching the existing agreements in what concerned the Strait of Hormuz, a global chokepoint for approximately 25% of oil and some 20% of LNG supplies. The Trump administration recently signaled an end to any large-scale use of force against Iran and a transition to putting economic pressure on the Islamic Republic through sanctions instead.
