Police officers found the injured man at around 6 a.m. following a tip-off. Phileleftheros has learned that the victim is a Turkish Cypriot. The man was initially taken to Famagusta General Hospital, where doctors found he had a brain haemorrhage and a skull base fracture. Due to the severity of his injuries, medical staff intubated him and transferred him to Nicosia General Hospital. Doctors describe his condition as serious but stable. Witness testimony obtained during police investigations indicates that a group of unidentified individuals attacked the 47-year-old on Ayias Mavris Street, causing his injuries.
