**Two 22-Year-Olds Sentenced for Cannabis Possession with Intent to Supply**
Larnaca, Cyprus – In a significant drug-related case, two men aged 22 were sentenced on Tuesday by the Larnaca Criminal Court for their involvement in the possession of over 1.5 kilograms of cannabis with the intent to distribute. The court imposed sentences of six years and two and a half years for the two individuals, following their conviction on drug charges.
The case stemmed from an operation conducted by the drug enforcement unit, known as Ykan, on January 31. During this operation, law enforcement officials executed a search of a vehicle belonging to a 45-year-old woman, which led to the discovery of more than one kilogram of cannabis.
Subsequent investigations revealed that one of the men resided at the woman's home. A search of the residence uncovered additional quantities of cannabis, along with a precision scale and various packages associated with the drug. The findings prompted the arrest of the woman and the two men, who were subsequently brought before the Larnaca District Court.
