**Two Arrested in Limassol Drug Investigation**
Two men, aged 22 and 28, have been arrested in Limassol as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. The arrests took place after police observed suspicious activity involving the two individuals, leading to a search that yielded significant quantities of illegal substances and cash.
According to police reports, the 28-year-old man was seen collecting a bag in an open area, which authorities believe had been left there by the younger suspect. This observation prompted officers to conduct a search of the area, during which they discovered a total of €3,920 in cash, along with 23 grams of cocaine and 140 grams of cannabis.
In addition to these findings, police also located another bag in the vicinity that contained an additional 45 grams of cocaine. The discovery of these items has led investigators to suspect that both men were involved in drug possession with the intent to supply.
Following their arrest, the two suspects are set to appear before the Limassol district court, where they will face charges related to drug trafficking. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to gather evidence to support the case.
The arrests come amid heightened efforts by law enforcement in Cyprus to combat drug-related crime, which has been a growing concern in recent years. The police have been actively conducting operations to disrupt drug trafficking networks and reduce the availability of illegal substances in the community.
As the situation develops, further details are expected to emerge regarding the suspects and the broader implications of this investigation on drug-related activities in Limassol and beyond.
