**Title: Two Arrested in Connection with Delivery Driver Attack in Limassol**
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a 25-year-old delivery driver was assaulted in the Erimi area of Limassol, leading to the arrest of two suspects aged 19 and 21. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM when the driver was attacked by the two individuals, who subsequently stole his purse and motorcycle.
According to the police, the investigation into the attack quickly led to the identification of the suspects. Testimonies gathered during the inquiry pointed towards the involvement of the 19-year-old and the 21-year-old. Notably, the keys to the stolen motorcycle were discovered in the possession of the 21-year-old, while the delivery driver's waist bag was located in the yard of the suspects' residence.
In addition to the robbery charges, both suspects are facing serious allegations related to drug possession with intent to supply. During a search of their home, police officers uncovered a total of 772 grams of cannabis. The discovery was partly facilitated by the actions of the 19-year-old, who was observed discarding an object into the yard as officers approached. This object was later identified as eight packages containing green, dry cannabis plant matter, weighing a total of 308 grams, along with a precision scale.
Further investigations by members of the drug squad, YKAN, led to the 21-year-old directing officers to an open area in Erimi. There, they unearthed four additional packages of dried cannabis, totaling 464 grams, which had been buried underground.
Both suspects were arrested under court warrants and have been taken into custody as investigations continue. The police are working diligently to gather more evidence and determine the full extent of the suspects' involvement in the attack and drug-related activities. The case highlights ongoing concerns regarding safety and crime in the region, as well as the challenges law enforcement faces in addressing drug-related offenses.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are urging anyone with additional information related to the incident to come forward.
