**Two Remanded Over Limassol Shooting Incident**
Limassol, Cyprus – Two individuals, aged 20 and 36, have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at a store in Limassol on March 31. The suspects were remanded for eight days by the Limassol district court following their arrests on Tuesday.
The shooting took place in the early hours of March 31, when gunfire erupted at the company’s outlet in Limassol. Eyewitness accounts suggest that shots were fired from a large motorcycle. Following the incident, investigators utilized closed-circuit television footage to trace the movements of both the motorcycle and a Mercedes vehicle linked to the case.
The Mercedes, which has been identified as belonging to the 36-year-old suspect, was spotted parked in an open area near a café approximately 20 minutes after the shooting incident. The driver was seen leaving the vehicle at that time. Meanwhile, the 20-year-old suspect has been identified as the alleged shooter and the owner of the white motorcycle involved in the incident. Police received information in June that led them to issue arrest warrants for both suspects.
During the arrest operation, authorities seized the suspects' mobile phones, and a pair of gloves was discovered in the vehicle belonging to the 20-year-old. Both individuals have reportedly denied any involvement in the shooting.
The police investigation is ongoing, with authorities actively seeking a third individual connected to the incident. Additionally, they plan to take around 40 further statements as part of their inquiry.
The shooting incident was first reported when a cleaning worker discovered damage to the glass doorway of the store around 7:30 AM on March 31, prompting a call to the police. Officers cordoned off the scene to conduct a thorough examination and collect evidence. Initial reports indicated that several gunshots had caused damage to the company’s façade.
