The two women had entered the water with a group of friends when they suddenly disappeared from view. Following an emergency deployment by rescue teams, the individuals were located unconscious in the water and brought ashore. They were subsequently transported by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital, where attending doctors pronounced them dead on arrival. Officers from the Oroklini police station are currently at the scene conducting an investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
