Survivors and rescuers are being treated for severe injuries. Residents had been queuing for humanitarian aid when the buildings were hit. Footage from the devastated village showed a large crater, scattered debris and bodies being recovered and loaded into a van. Four police officers and two rescue workers were among those killed. Volunteers, including Baptist pastor Vladyslav Makhovskyi, joined emergency teams searching the rubble, despite repeated interruptions caused by Russian drones. Four civilian patients were admitted, including one with burns covering 81% of their body. Among those injured was 28-year-old emergency worker Rodion Baliy, whose father described his son's injuries and the dangers faced by rescuers responding to repeated strikes. Another survivor, Galyna, was also receiving treatment. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the bombardment as one of the deadliest Russian attacks of the war. Regional authorities declared three days of mourning as rescue workers continued searching for people believed to be trapped beneath the wreckage.
