Nov. 4, 2026 Social media Ukrainian drone strikes killed three people and wounded four others in southwestern Russia’s Belgorod region, local authorities said Wednesday afternoon. A married couple was killed when a drone hit their car in a village located around 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) east of the border with northern Ukraine’s Sumy region, the regional crisis response center said in a statement. In a separate strike near the town of Shebekino, closer to the border with Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, a man was killed in a drone strike on a cargo truck. At least four others were wounded across the Belgorod region, the crisis response center added. Earlier on Wednesday, Belgorod region Governor Alexander Shuvayev said six people had been injured in attacks over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, in Ukraine, officials said the death toll from a Russian bombing of an aid distribution point in the southern Zaporizhzhia region this week had risen to 37, with dozens more still missing. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian forces first dropped aerial bombs on the distribution point as people arrived to collect aid, then struck the shelter with more bombs. Reuters contributed reporting.
