The victim had been initially treated at the intensive care unit of the Nicosia General for several weeks following the attack, but was later transferred to a specialised rehabilitation centre. A 48 year old was arrested in connection with a case of attempted murder last November, but the charges will not be changing, due to Criminal Code technicality. For a case to be registered as murder in court, the time elapsed before the victim dies must not go over one year and one day. In this case, its been a year and four days since the crime occurred. An autopsy will establish cause of death. The 62 year old was married with two children. Victim and killer were working together at an egg packaging factory in Vrysoulles. On August 8th last year, the two were seen arguing, with the 48 year old subsequently entering his car and running over the 62 year old who was thrown off the ground and fell on his head. He suffered a skull fracture and brain haemorrhage. After initial treatment he was rushed to the Nicosia General where he was intubated and underwent surgery.
