France's elite Patrouille de France aerobatic team took to the skies above Washington, D.C. on Monday, performing a ceremonial flyover across some of the US capital's most recognisable landmarks. The demonstration forms part of the "Liberté 250" tour, a programme commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence and highlighting the longstanding ties between France and the United States.
