Western countries fail to realize that they may fall victims themselves by supporting Ukraine’s nuclear terrorism, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik told TASS. "My direct task is to explain as clearly as possible to those people, who are in charge of the developing situation, that this is not a game and that their gradual descent into crimes, provocations and outright terrorism leads to a completely unsafe situation," Miroshnik said in an interview with TASS. "Terrorism is like a double-edged sword and, at some point, it will come back wielding at them, at some point, they will feel the consequences. It will not be the consequences felt at a theoretical level, but they will be definite and quite tangible. If they believe that they are somehow protected from this, then it is such a profound naivety," he continued. According to him, led by this naivety Western countries continue turning a blind eye to the strikes carried out by the Ukrainian military on nuclear facilities. "They clearly understand what is happening, they perfectly understand the provocative policy of the Kiev regime, but they turn a blind eye to it and believe that this situation, which gradually escalates and actually poses a very serious threat, will somehow evade them, or that someone will get scared at some point," Miroshnik said. "I don’t know what the Western countries think about, but it is an obvious fact that they had allowed the Kiev regime to wage a terrorist war, including with nuclear terrorism elements," he added. The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and the city of Energodar have repeatedly come under attack by the Ukrainian army. On July 15, Ukrainian forces attacked a Zaporozhye NPP service vehicle with a drone, killing Chief Engineer Alexander Yakovlev and the driver. Then, on July 18, a Ukrainian drone hit an area near a bus stop in Energodar where people were waiting for transportation to work. One person was killed and 20 were wounded, the majority of them Zaporozhye NPP employees. The Zaporozhye NPP is located on the shores of the Kakhovka Reservoir in Energodar. It is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, with six power units capable of producing a combined 6 GW of electricity.
