According to Turkish Cypriot media, the “police investigator” told the “court” today that the suspect stabbed her husband 30 times, five of them fatal wounds, saying she believed he was about to steal her belongings. She turned herself in to the “police” after the killing. The suspect gave two voluntary statements, including a confession, and investigators have taken 20 statements as part of the ongoing inquiry. The “police” requested and were granted an order extending her detention by eight days.
