The warning will come into effect at 2pm on Thursday, August 6 and will last until 4:30pm the same day. The department expects the maximum temperature to reach around 40 degrees Celsius in inland areas. Weather forecast A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region. Tonight will be mostly clear, with increased low cloud in places. Patchy fog or mist cannot be ruled out during the early morning hours, mainly in western and eastern areas. Winds will blow north-west to north-east, and south-east on the north coast, weak at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be smooth to slight. Temperatures will drop to 20 degrees inland, around 22 degrees on the coast and 18 degrees in the higher mountains. Tomorrow will be mostly clear, with intervals of increased cloud in places. Winds will blow south-west to west, weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, occasionally strong at 5 Beaufort on the south coast. The sea will be slight. Temperatures will rise to 38 degrees inland, 30 degrees on the western coast, around 33 degrees on the rest of the coast and 28 degrees in the higher mountains. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the weather will be mostly clear with intervals of increased cloud in places. Temperatures will show no significant change over the three-day period, remaining close to average climatological values.
