On October 29, 2026, the Tassos Papadopoulos – Eleftheria Stadium in Nicosia will come alive with music, excitement and activities for all ages as it hosts a major anniversary celebration. The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation (YCF) is celebrating 10 years of giving back this year with a major event on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Tassos Papadopoulos – Eleftheria Stadium in Nicosia, from 4pm. Ten years after its establishment, the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation continues its work with the same dedication, guided by the vision of its founder, John Christodoulou, with children and young people at the heart of its mission, alongside creating opportunities, supporting vulnerable groups and giving back to Cypriot society. To mark the occasion, the Foundation is inviting the public to an evening of celebration and giving, with free entry to the youth festival. A celebration for all ages From 4pm, with free entry, the Tassos Papadopoulos – Eleftheria Stadium will transform into a vibrant space for a youth and children’s festival, filled with excitement, games and entertainment. A special basketball game and competition will put participants’ skills and luck to the test! Contestants will be challenged to score a backwards basket, with their backs turned towards the hoop. The first 10 participants to score will win €1,000, keeping €500 for themselves and donating the remaining €500 to an approved charity of their choice. The evening will reach its peak at 7.30pm with a short ceremony. A spectacular concert by Konstantinos Argiros will follow, with a €5 ticket to support the Foundation’s initiatives to support children. The symbolic €5 entry fee will apply for those aged over 10, in addition to limited VIP places to support the Foundation’s work. For those wishing to experience the evening from the specially-designed VIP area, while also directly supporting the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation, a limited number of VIP tickets for purchase will be available. 10 years of service, continuing together Since its establishment, with more than 100 projects in Cyprus as well as international initiatives, the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation has placed children and young people, and the creation of genuine opportunities for a better future, at the heart of its philosophy.
