The Fire Service responded to a call at 4:52 a.m. to assist the Ambulance Service in moving the injured man. A rescue vehicle and its crew secured the casualty onto an immobilisation board and carried him up the building’s staircase to the waiting ambulance team. Paramedics then took over and transferred him to the Accident and Emergency Department.
