The incident occurred at around 12:00 p.m. on Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue in Strovolos, near the Kalamon roundabout. Preliminary reports indicated that under conditions currently being investigated, the motorcycle collided with a car ahead of it, throwing the rider to the ground. He was rushed to Nicosia General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Police later identified the victim as Adeel Akhtar, a 23-year-old Pakistani national. According to a formal police update, the fatal collision took place around 12:10 p.m. when the motorcycle driven by the 23-year-old crashed into the rear of a car in front of him. A 39-year-old woman was driving the vehicle, and her five-year-old son was sitting in the back, secured in a child safety seat. The collision caused fatal injuries to the 23-year-old motorcyclist, who was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where the duty doctor certified his death.
