A 14-year-old boy is currently in serious but stable condition following a collision involving an electric scooter in Limassol. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM on Friday in the Trachoni area, where the boy reportedly crashed into the rear of a parked car.
Local police have stated that the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation. Initial reports indicate that the teenager was riding the electric scooter on a road where such vehicles are not permitted and was not wearing a safety helmet at the time of the accident.
After the crash, the boy was first transported to Limassol Hospital for immediate medical attention. Following initial examinations, he was subsequently transferred to Nicosia Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with an epidural haematoma, a condition that can occur due to head trauma.
