According to information published by RoadReportCY, the incident occurred at about 8.46 pm on Saturday, 11 July 2026, at the junction of Ayias Fylaxeos Avenue and 1st April Street. The victim, a man aged under 25, was attempting to cross the road when he was hit by the vehicle and thrown heavily onto the road. The driver did not stop after the collision and immediately left the area. One eyewitness said they did not see the exact moment of impact but heard the noise and then saw the pedestrian lying on the road. Another witness reportedly said the vehicle involved was white and believed the pedestrian may have been struck by its side mirror before falling onto the asphalt.
