To win outright, a candidate must secure more than 50 percent of the votes cast. If none of the three reaches that threshold, a second round of voting will be held. Voting is taking place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Around 8,000 EDEK members are eligible to vote, though turnout is estimated at around 2,000.
