The operation, which took place across the island, was aimed at addressing various offenses, including illegal residency, burglary, theft, and traffic violations.

According to police reports released on Monday, officers stopped a total of 538 vehicles and conducted checks on 713 drivers and passengers during the operation. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and ensure compliance with local regulations.

The police issued a significant number of traffic citations during the checks, totaling 341. Notably, 125 of these citations were specifically for speeding violations, highlighting a continued concern over road safety and adherence to traffic laws.

In addition to traffic-related offenses, the police also focused on substance use among drivers. Officers conducted 110 alcohol tests, with three drivers testing positive for alcohol consumption.
