The Fire Service reported that emergency operators received a call regarding the domestic fire at 10:40 AM. The fire initially broke out at a home altar before spreading to the living room. The blaze caused severe damage to internal equipment, furnishings, electrical installations, and a quantity of clothing. Additionally, the extreme heat and thick smoke affected the interior and exterior paintwork of the entire house. The homeowner, assisted by neighbours using a garden hose, managed to extinguish the primary fire before emergency crews arrived on the scene. Firefighters subsequently completed the final dampening down of remaining hotspots and thoroughly ventilated the smoke-logged premises. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to provide medical assistance to the owner, who experienced breathing difficulties as a direct result of inhaling smoke. Two fire engines from the local authority responded to control and secure the incident.
