Cypriot sailor Pavlos Kontides has secured his position at the top of the standings in the ILCA 7 category as he heads into the medal races of the Los Angeles Grand Slam. Kontides demonstrated consistent performance throughout the qualifying rounds, finishing sixth and fourth in his final races, which solidified his lead and ensured he enters the decisive stage of the competition in first place.
The Los Angeles Grand Slam follows a unique format where the top ten sailors from the qualifying rounds advance to two medal races.
