**Limassol Police Arrest 22-Year-Old in Connection with Motorcycle Theft**
Limassol, Cyprus – A 22-year-old man was taken into custody on Friday as part of an ongoing investigation into the theft of a motorcycle and the unlawful possession of property, according to local police reports.
The incident began on Thursday afternoon when a motorcycle belonging to a 34-year-old man was stolen from his residence in Limassol. In addition to the motorcycle, two electric tools were also reported missing from the same location.
Acting on information received, officers from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) located the stolen motorcycle in a parking area of an apartment building shortly after 1 PM on Friday. During their investigation, police conducted searches in the surrounding area and discovered two electric tools inside a parked car that matched the description of the stolen items.
The owner of the vehicle, identified as the 22-year-old suspect, was located by the police. Officers proceeded to search both his car and his residence in his presence. During these searches, they uncovered various items, including a motorcycle without registration plates, from which the identifying serial numbers had allegedly been removed.
The police stated that the suspect was unable to provide satisfactory explanations for the possession of the items found in his vehicle and home. As a result, he was arrested for unlawful possession of property.
Further evidence linking the suspect to the theft of the motorcycle belonging to the 34-year-old man later emerged, prompting the issuance of a court warrant for his arrest. Following this development, he was formally arrested and remanded in custody.
