According to initial police information, the woman was travelling towards Limassol when, under circumstances that are being investigated, she lost control, entered a triangular central island and struck the protective barriers. The 33-year-old sustained more serious injuries, while her daughter was injured in the leg. Police noted that the child was not wearing a seatbelt. Police and an ambulance attended the scene. Both were transferred to Limassol General Hospital for medical examination and their condition is described as out of danger, according to the same information. Episkopio Police Station is investigating the exact cause of the accident.
