**Paphos Drug Bust Leads to Remand of Two Suspects**
Paphos, Cyprus – Two men, aged 29 and 21, were remanded for six days on Tuesday following their arrest in connection with a significant drug haul in Kato Paphos. The arrests were made by officers from the drug squad, known as Ykan, after they received a tip-off regarding suspicious activity involving the suspects.
The incident unfolded on Monday afternoon when law enforcement officials stopped the vehicle occupied by the two men. During the search of the vehicle, police discovered a small quantity of drugs, including 3 grams of cannabis and 0.5 grams of methamphetamine. Additionally, officers found €700 in cash in their possession.
Following the initial arrest, police executed a search warrant at the suspects' residence. This search yielded a larger cache of drugs, including 1 gram of cocaine, 10 grams of methamphetamine, and 73 Captagon tablets, a type of amphetamine often associated with illicit drug trafficking. Furthermore, authorities recovered an additional 197 grams of cannabis and €4,250 in cash from the home.
