**Paphos Tourism Campaign Wins Two Major Industry Awards**
The Paphos regional tourism board, known as Etap Paphos, announced on Tuesday that its promotional campaign, “Paphos – Unleash Your Senses,” has garnered significant recognition by securing two prestigious industry awards. This achievement underscores the region's ongoing commitment to establishing itself as a prominent international tourism destination.
At the recent Cyprus Tourism Awards 2025, the campaign was honored with a gold award in the Strategy & Innovation – Timeless Presence category. Additionally, it received a bronze award at the Marketing Achievements Awards 2025 in the Integrated Marketing category. These accolades reflect not only the effectiveness of the campaign itself but also the broader collaborative efforts that have been in place for the past seven years.
The tourism board emphasized that the awards signify a successful unified marketing strategy that integrates both public and private sector partners. This initiative is noted as the first organized effort in Cyprus to align various stakeholders, including public authorities and private businesses, under a single destination marketing strategy. The collaborative model has set a benchmark for enhancing the competitiveness of the Paphos region in the international tourism market.
The success of the “Paphos – Unleash Your Senses” campaign is attributed to the contributions of multiple stakeholders, including the Paphos Regional Board of Tourism, the Paphos district branch of the Cyprus Hotel Association, Hermes Airports, Eurobank, and various participating hotels and organizations. Special recognition was also given to AZTECH, the agency responsible for the strategic planning and execution of the campaign. The tourism board highlighted AZTECH's expertise as a crucial factor in strengthening Paphos's international presence.
In a statement, the tourism board remarked, “These distinctions carry deep significance as they celebrate more than just a successful advertising campaign.” They noted that the awards highlight the value of a sustained approach based on cooperation and shared goals, rather than relying solely on short-term promotional activities.
As Paphos continues to strive for recognition as a year-round, modern, sustainable, and smart tourism destination, the tourism board expressed that these awards would serve as motivation to further enhance collaboration among partners. “Elevating the profile of Paphos as a year-round highly modern, sustainable and smart travel destination remains an ongoing effort that relies entirely on the continued commitment and contribution of all partners,” the board concluded.
The recognition of the campaign and the collaborative efforts behind it not only boosts the morale of those involved but also positions Paphos favorably in the competitive landscape of international tourism. The ongoing commitment to a unified marketing approach is expected to yield further benefits as the region seeks to attract visitors throughout the year.
