**Petrolina Advances Coastal Development with Land of Tomorrow Project**
Petrolina (Holdings) Public Limited has announced the launch of five specialized companies to spearhead the ambitious Land of Tomorrow project, a significant coastal development initiative aimed at transforming a previously industrial area into a vibrant mixed-use urban environment. The announcement was made on Tuesday, marking a pivotal step in the company's strategy to diversify its operations and enhance property development activities.
The five special purpose companies established for this project are: Land of Tomorrow – Residential Towers Ltd, Land of Tomorrow – Ecovillage Ltd, Land of Tomorrow – Resort Ltd, Land of Tomorrow – Boutique Ltd, and Land of Tomorrow – Business Hub Ltd. Each company is tasked with developing different phases of the project, which is designed to cover approximately 300,000 square meters.
Petrolina will hold varying stakes in these companies, with Land of Tomorrow – Residential Towers Ltd having a 21% participation, while Land of Tomorrow – Ecovillage Ltd will see a 35% stake from the holding company. Both Land of Tomorrow – Resort Ltd and Land of Tomorrow – Boutique Ltd will be fully owned by Petrolina, while Land of Tomorrow – Business Hub Ltd will have a 10% participation from the parent group. The commencement of operations for these entities is contingent upon obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals and licenses.
The Land of Tomorrow project is envisioned as a comprehensive urban environment that integrates residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. The design emphasizes ecological sustainability and community coexistence, featuring natural beaches, green areas, and cultural infrastructure. The project aims to redefine modern coastal living by blending leisure, work, and public spaces into a cohesive community.
To bring this vision to life, Petrolina has enlisted the expertise of the internationally acclaimed architectural firm Foster + Partners to develop the master plan. The design aims to create a harmonious balance between urban development and natural landscapes, making it a unique addition to the region.
The implementation of the Land of Tomorrow project is expected to unfold over a timeline of 12 to 15 years, with various phases planned to ensure a structured approach to development. The first phase, which will be executed by Land of Tomorrow – Residential Towers Ltd in partnership with Foster + Partners, is projected to begin construction in late 2026 or early 2027, with completion anticipated around 2028 to 2029.
In addition to residential towers, the master plan includes plans for a five-star luxury hotel, a boutique hotel, retail and dining spaces, a modern conference center, and office and event facilities. This diverse array of offerings is designed to cater to both residents and visitors, enhancing the overall appeal of the coastal area.
The decision to relocate Petrolina's storage facilities to the Vasiliko area and the Former Refineries Area Scheme is part of a broader strategy to repurpose land previously used for industrial activities. This move aligns with the company's goal of diversifying its portfolio and capitalizing on the potential for property development in a region poised for transformation.
As the Land of Tomorrow project progresses, it is anticipated to create significant economic opportunities, including job creation and increased tourism, while also contributing to the revitalization of the coastal landscape. The project represents a forward-thinking approach to urban development, aiming to create a sustainable and inclusive environment for future generations.
In summary, Petrolina's Land of Tomorrow project is set to be a landmark development that not only reshapes the coastal area but also sets a new standard for integrated urban living in Cyprus. With its focus on sustainability and community, the project promises to be a transformative initiative that will benefit both the local population and visitors alike.
