The arrests concerned offences and checks, including impersonation, unlawful stay, identity verification, common assault, unlawful possession of untaxed tobacco products and other matters. During the operations, officers stopped and checked 554 drivers and 168 passengers. Police also carried out checks at 39 premises as part of efforts to tackle delinquency, resulting in four reports. Traffic checks led to 291 reports for various road offences, while police also opened eight cases involving suspected traffic violations. Among the reports, 95 concerned drivers exceeding the speed limit. Police also impounded nine vehicles as part of the operations. Officers carried out 105 alcohol tests, which led to seven reports. Two drivers also tested positive in preliminary narcotest checks. Police said crime prevention and enforcement operations continue daily, with increased police presence, targeted checks and immediate operational action aimed at protecting citizens and maintaining public order.
