**Popi Christoforou Laid to Rest in Limassol**
Limassol, Cyprus – Popi Christoforou, the mother of twin sailors Miltos and Christos, who tragically lost their lives in the 2011 Mari naval base explosion, was laid to rest on Thursday following her long battle with cancer. The funeral service took place at the Holy Trinity Church, attended by family members, state officials, and many others who came to pay their respects.
In accordance with Christoforou's final wish, attendees wore white and blue, colors that symbolize her family's connection to the sea and the naval service.
